Add a User and Grant Access
Two separate things decide what someone can do: their role says what kind of work they can perform, and their client access says which practices they can perform it on. Both are needed.
Invite and Assign
Section titled “Invite and Assign”- In the sidebar, select Users.
- Select Create.
- Enter their work email.
- Assign at least one role. ClaimPod requires one, and a user can hold more than one.
- Grant the clients they work.
- Select Save. The account appears in the list and the invitation goes out.
Result: an activation link goes to their email. Until they activate, the account exists but cannot sign in.
Why Two Grants, Not One
Section titled “Why Two Grants, Not One”Role and client access are separate, so a User with no client sees a no-client-access notice and reaches nothing - the account looks correctly set up and is not. The same separation is why whoever configures ClaimPod usually holds Administrator and User together: an Administrator cannot see patient data at all. Roles and Access explains the model; a group bundles both grants for a team so a new joiner inherits them.
