Upload an Import File

Most files arrive on their own through a connection. When one does not, or you are testing a new file shape, upload it directly.

Before You Start

You need a mapping template that matches the file’s shape. Without one ClaimPod has no way to read the columns.

Upload the File

1. In the sidebar, select Imports.
2. Select Upload.
3. Choose the file and the mapping template that matches it.
4. Select Upload.

Result: the file becomes a run. Rows are staged and validated, clean rows promote, and anything ClaimPod cannot resolve opens as an import review queue.

Watch the Run

The run’s row shows counts as it works: how many imported, how many went to review, how many were rejected. Open the run to see the staged rows and any row-level errors.

Caution

Counts that come back all-rejected almost always mean the file shape changed rather than the data being wrong. Check the mapping template before working through rows one at a time.
