Re-run an Import

Re-running processes a file from the beginning: staging it again, re-validating every row, and promoting what passes.

Before You Start

Fix the cause first. Re-running an unchanged file against an unchanged mapping produces the same result.

Re-run

1. In the sidebar, select Imports.
2. Find the run and open its row menu.
3. Select Re-run.
4. Confirm at Re-run import?.

Result: a new run supersedes the previous one, and its review items replace the old ones.

What Re-running Changes

Rows that already promoted are matched rather than duplicated, so a re-run repairs a partial import instead of doubling it. Review items from the superseded run go with it: decisions you made on those rows do not carry across, because the rows themselves are being read again.

Caution

If the earlier run promoted rows you did not want, re-running does not remove them. Correct or remove those records directly.
