Work a Remittance Review Item

Clean payments post on their own. A remittance that raises an exception is held instead, and waits for you to judge it before any money moves.

  1. Open the remittance review queue.
  2. Select an item in the Work Items rail. The workspace shows what the payer reported, the claim it matched, and the posting that is waiting.
  3. Read the findings. Each names one exception, such as a payment posted under a different code than billed.
  4. Resolve each finding, or record why it is acceptable. The resolution is required; ClaimPod will not let the item close without one.
  5. Select Complete.

Result: the held posting releases and the entries land on the claim. The processor advances to the next item.

While a remittance is under review its posting is held. The remittance page says so directly:

Complete the review item to release the posting.

Money never lands against a claim on the strength of a match ClaimPod was unsure about - see The Claim Loop.

If findings remain, ClaimPod asks to confirm at Complete With Open Findings? rather than refusing outright. Some exceptions are informational, and a reviewer who has read them can accept them deliberately.

Where every exception is resolved, the workspace says so instead.
